It is the nature of God to bring order out of chaos. “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth…and the earth was without form and void and darkness covered the face of the deep.” For six days, God simply declared, “Let there be” and there was! Genesis, chapter 1
Order indicates preparation, forethought, and planning. You did not just randomly and accidentally evolve. The Creator of the universe thought about you when He ordered the waters to separate causing dry land to appear. He designed you with unique gifts, destiny, and purpose. If He made every snowflake uniquely different, how much more wonderfully were you created in His image!
Psalm 139:14
“I will praise Thee for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.”
Practical Application and Assignments:
Because of disobedience something chaotic happened. Sin brought disaster and disorder into the world. In the Greek language, the word order also means to set straight or to restore. God has ordered that you be restored to the image and design of His Son.
- Allow God to bring restoration into any area of your life that is out of order. “And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel.” Jeremiah 18:4
- Ask for forgiveness for any act of rebellion or failure. David said, “Create in me a new heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.” Psalm 51:10
- Reach out with forgiveness to others who are in need of order and restoration. Don’t give up on anyone, including yourself.
- Get your life in order. When there is disorder in a courtroom, the judge declares, “Order in the court!” You have the power and authority to take control of any disorderly conduct in your personal life. Lay down the gavel. Order your behavior to come in line with God’s Divine design and eternal purpose.
“Let all things be done decently and in order.” I Corinthians 14:40
