Destiny is the Divine Appointment of Life

Destiny is the Divine Appointment of Life

Destiny is defined as something to which a person is destined.  Don’t you just love that kind of a definition?  It simply means God decides, you discover!  It is about a predetermined course of events: God’s plan!  You existed in the mind of God before you were ever born.  He was thinking about you before you could even think for yourself. Your life is a set-up. Psalms 37:23 says, “The steps of a righteous man are ordered by the Lord.”  The word ordered means to be fixed, fitted, and fashioned.

It would be ludicrous to think that the Creator of the universe would not have a detailed master plan for our lives.  An encounter with God is a life changing experience.  You have an appointment with Divine destiny!

Ephesians 1:4-5 (NKJV)

“…He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world,…having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will.”

Practical Application and Assignments:

Destiny is when you come into alignment with God’s plan for your life. If you are a believer, your worst day on earth is the only hell you will ever know.  Your destiny is an eternity with God.  You were made for administrative purposes beyond this time-space realm.

  • Seek purpose, not position. When you passionately serve and willingly give to others, you will discover your purpose. The greatest thing in life is not what someone can give to you, but what God has placed within you to share with others.
  • Read Genesis, chapter 24. It is a fascinating story. Rebecca had no idea that day when she faithfully carried water to the camels that it was a Divine appointment. That one decision placed her at the right place, at the right time. She met her husband and became part of the lineage of Christ.
  • Watch your step. You may be just one step away from your destiny. If you are where you are supposed to be, doing what you are supposed to do, you will get what you are supposed to get.

“Our Father which art in heaven…Thy will be done…” Luke 11:2

  1. Amen, this is a great word I can relate to. I saw this post on my Facebook page.I would have never thought I would have been living here in Massillon,Ohio for 3 months now, being from Michigan. But, I know God has a way of repositioning his people.Sometimes I wonder y here, and what’s next? I remember being a little girl, and being brought to church to trinity gospel with my great grandma Elizabeth King and coming to cathedral of life with my grandma Jean Williams attending the praying band meetings with her before they both passed. When I came to Ohio,I always thought I came to visit. Now, I live here. I didn’t think I would be attending church until my uncle wife brought me. I’m just praying that the Lord will keep me n guide me.
