America has become materially rich, but morally impoverished. This new morality of premarital license, same sex marriage, and situational ethics is destroying our nation from within. It is an age in which society closes its eyes and looks the other way. We measure our success by our towers and space programs. We seem to have forgotten that everything we build is temporary and of little value when compared to eternity.
Indifference is an “I don’t care” attitude. Complacency is being satisfied with things as they are… “I’ll let someone else make a difference.” We will never change our world until we are willing to change ourselves. What change is God requiring of you?

“…It is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.”
Practical Application and Assignments:
‘The Bridger Generation,’ by Thom S. Ranier, states that in a recent poll only 4% of those born between 1984 and 2002 claim to be church attending, Bible-based believers. That statistic is shocking! The steady decline of Christian standards is alarming. Atheistic, anti-God forces succeeded in removing prayer from our schools on our watch. Their goal is to remove the mention of God and produce a godless society.
- Wake-up! Read Revelation, chapters 2,3. It is a call to action. Seven times the Scripture says, “He that hath an ear to hear, let him hear…” Is anybody listening? Does anybody care?
- Don’t underestimate the power of one voice. Some classic examples are: Esther, Moses, Joan of Ark, Winston Churchill, and Gandhi…Or what about Hitler, Bin laden, or Madlyn Murray O’Hair…
- Speak up! Is your voice being heard by God in prayer? Is your voice being heard on the ballot? Are you silent when you should be speaking, or speaking when you should be silent? Are you indifferent or making a difference?
