Patriotism is the Allegiance of Life

Patriotism is the Allegiance of Life

The patriots and founding fathers of this nation were consumed with allegiance to God and their country.  Laws originally passed to protect the symbol of freedom have now been redefined to protect the right to abuse it.  It has become lawful to publicly burn the American flag.  Anti-God forces are lobbying to remove the words, “under God” from the Pledge of Allegiance.  Other liberal extremists want it eliminated from the classroom.

We need a revival of patriotism.  America needs its citizens to renew their allegiance of loyalty to its foundational principles.  Our flag represents our freedom to be successful.  If you had the privilege of being born into a nation that is free, you are blessed.  Only one visit to an oppressed country under the suppression and domination of dictatorship reveals that freedom is a luxury.  “God bless those who bless America.”

Romans 13:7

“…Give respect to whom respect is due.”(AMP)

Practical Application and Assignments:

If you live in a nation that is free, you will agree, “There is no place like home.”  We celebrate our liberty.  We sing our national anthem at special events.  We have national holidays in honor of our presidents, veterans, and those who have given their life for our freedom.  We pledge allegiance to the flag.

  • John F. Kennedy said, “Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country.” It is time to speak up for your country and Godly leadership.  It is time to stand up for your rights as a citizen.  It is time to preserve your national heritage and defend your belief and allegiance to God.
  • Sincerely ask yourself, “What can I do for my country?” The First Amendment protects us from becoming a third world country that forces us to practice what the government decides.  Who will protect the First Amendment?

“All governments are under God.  Insofar as there is peace and order, it’s God’s order.  So live responsibly as a citizen.”  Romans 13:1 ((MSG)
