Love is not something you can see or touch. Although it is something you can feel, it is not based on feelings. Love is translated the same in every dialect. It transcends all barriers. It is the language the deaf can hear and the dumb can speak. It is expressed through a gentle touch, the tone of voice, a look of compassion, adoration, and a kind deed.
Never underestimate the power of the words, “I love you,” but they are only meaningful when they are accompanied with non-verbal actions. “Actions speak louder than words.” Love is one of the essential needs for emotional stability. Reach out and love someone!

Practical Application and Assignments:
Love is the first fruit of a Spirit-filled life. The statement, “Love keeps the world in motion” is true because “God is Love.” I John 4:8 As long as you stay connected to God, you cannot stop loving because His love lasts forever.
- Read I Corinthians, chapter 13. It is God’s criterion for love. Each statement is an assignment. “Love is patient. Love is kind. Love is not envious or arrogant. Love is not rude, selfish, or easily irritated. It does not think evil. Love takes no pleasure in wickedness, but rejoices in the truth. Love believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never disappears.” I Corinthians 13:4-8
- Give yourself the test. Read each verse again, only this time, replace the word “love” with your name. God never sets a standard beyond our reach. Don’t quit trying. With God’s help, you can pass the test.
- Choose to love. Make everyday Valentines Day. Express your love to those in “your world.” Place surprise messages in inconspicuous places. Go the extra mile to show those you love that you care. It may be a hug or a note in a lunchbox, but “love will find a way”…
