If you check the ratings in the film industry of contemporary movies and TV sitcoms that portray the supernatural, you will discover that our world is fascinated with the angelic realm. Although much of it is absurd and fictitious, angels are real.
When I was in the fifth grade I was hit by a car. I still have the shirt that I was wearing because it was touched by an angel. At impact, I flew through the air thirty feet and landed on my feet. It felt like something picked me up. The driver of the car said, “When I hit you, I saw a big hand lift you from the front of my car.” I didn’t have a bruise on my body. I thank God for angels. If you don’t know the God who created them, you are only a prayer away.
Psalm 34:7
“The angel of the Lord encamps around them that fear Him.”
Practical Application and Assignments:
We pray to God for protection and speak His Word over our family every day. “Angels hearken unto the voice of God’s Word.” Psalm 103:20. While attending Oral Roberts University, my sister and I were in a horrible car accident. I was bleeding profusely from a head injury. A woman dressed in white appeared and took us to the hospital. When we turned to thank her, she was gone. The hospital attendants said, “No one was with you. You were alone.”
- Become aware of the angelic realm. Angels are not to be worshiped. They are Supernatural beings who are sent by God on Divine missions for the purpose of giving direction, protection, provision, and comfort. They have names and ranks. They can be visible or invisible. They are immune to fire and have unlimited locomotion. They are not subject to time.
- Ask God for revelation and spiritual insight. Maybe He will even send an angel. Heaven has a special delivery service. God’s angels are His “secret agents!”
“For He has given His angels charge over you, to guard you in all your ways.” Psalm 91:11
