"Dream On!"

ICEBREAKER: Identify a present or historic dreamer. What was their dream?

INTRODUCTION: When God created mankind in His image, He created us with the capacity to create and be creative. We will never be greater than our creator but it is truly amazing that God created us in His image with the need to dream and create. When you are a creator you never have to be a victim. Part of that capacity includes the ability to use our imaginations to dream. One of the greatest dreamers and dream interpreters in the Bible was a man named Joseph. He had to overcome tremendous obstacles and opposition in order to fulfill his God given dream! Joseph's brothers even called him the dreamer! While their sarcasm was not appreciated their nickname for their brother was prophetic. Joseph held on to his dream throughout all the adversities and adversaries in his life. God used this dreamer to save his family and the known world during the time of a terrible famine. It is truly time for the present day dreamers to arise! It has been said you can have a life without a dream but you can never have a prosperous future without a dream. One of the greatest ways to advance your dream is to add value to others along the journey of life while you are waiting for your dream to manifest. Joseph's life story proves that it often takes many years to become an overnight success. Today's lesson teaches us that dreams still come true!
