CONFESSION:  God created my mind with an incredible capacity to be creative, to learn, to comprehend, to imagine, to remember, to envision, to believe, to feel, to relate, and to interact with my world.  My mind is not a garbage dump. It was designed to operate at maximum efficiency when I meditate on God's Word daily.  I choose to exercise my mind everyday! I choose to never stop growing!

DEFINITIONS:

Heads Up: To be alert, attentive, and  spiritually, socially, culturally, mentally and environmentally aware. To be ready to receive the positive and reject the negative thoughts coming at your mind.

Mind (Greek: Psyche): The breath of life. The soul.

a) the seat of the feelings, desires, affections, aversions (our heart, soul.)

b) the (human) soul in so far as it is constituted that by the right use of the aids offered it by God it can attain its highest end and secure eternal blessedness, the soul regarded as a moral being designed for everlasting life.

c) the soul as an essence which differs from the body and is not dissolved by death (distinguished from other parts of the body)

STUDY GROUP QUESTIONS:

1.    What was the mindset of Jesus, according to Philippians 2:1-11?

2.    Name one component of the mind or something that occurs in the mind.

3.    Why do you think that most battles or conflicts start in the mind?

4.    Look at Hebrews 12:1-3.  What causes people to faint in their mind?

5.    What has been the greatest fear or mind game the enemy has tried to attack your mind with?

6.    1 Peter 1:13 speaks of the loins of your mind. In other words your mind is a reproductive womb that will give birth to whatever seed is planted in it. It can also produce seed thoughts that when spoken may be planted in other hearts or minds. According to Jeremiah 29:11 what is on God's mind right now? What is your most dominant consistent daily thought?

7.    Like Jesus, identify a core belief that you have cultivated in your mind to build your life upon.
