ICEBREAKER:  What are you believing for?

 

CONFESSION: 

True success is determined by how much what we are doing impacts the eternal realm.

True success blesses everyone and steals from no one.

True success is not a success without a successor.

True success is found in living by the principles of Gods Word.

True success is multigenerational and multidimensional.

True success is developed over time and stands the test of time.

True success requires commitment to excellence.

True success eventually happens when you meditate on Gods Word day and night.

True success positively affects every area of your life.

True success builds you up but does not puff you up.

True success lifts the lids and breaks the previous records.

True success challenges others to reach deeper, higher and further.

True success opens new doors and changes everything but your values.

I am successful!  My success is Gods success and His is mine. 

 

DEFINITION: Success: Knowing what God wants you to do and doing it.

 

OUTLINE: What Do We Need to Be Successful?

1. We NEED to be on the building crew....

        Encourage, bless, help, unify, benefit, assist

        Dont be on the wrecking crew (gripe, complain, murmur, slander,

criticize)

        Im on the going list, not on the waiting list

        You are to be a positive force in a negative world

2. We NEED to develop the power of believing

        Nobody will believe in it if you dont

        You ought to hear our pastor at least once

        Get excited about what you are actually believing in

3. We NEED to rise above impossible circumstances and odds

        Thomas Edison: failures can become stepping stones 

        Failure equals the possibility of success

        Babe Ruth struck out more times than anyone else, but he also had

more home runs

4. We NEED to choose to be a positive person

        Be thankful....thank God in advance and tell Him you love Him

        I got a flat tire, but I have three tires that didnt blow out

        Born to overcome

Born to rise above

        Born to succeed

        Born to control circumstances

5. We NEED to refuse to cave in during a crisis

        God didnt say figure me out, He said trust me

1.    So often we talk about what God does not want us to do; tell us one thing the Bible tells that we are to do.

2.    How does God evaluate success?
