1. Name one benefit and one
liability of the wind.
2. What kind of storm are you
experiencing in your life?
3. Jesus rebuked the cause
(the origin) and spoke to the effects (the symptoms) of the storm. I need to
rebuke the wind of_____________, and speak to the waves of ___________.
4. Whatever we see Jesus doing
we have the right to see ourselves doing. Name one thing Jesus did you would
like to do.
5. Whatever we see in Jesus we
have the right to ask him to reproduce in us. Name a characteristic of Jesus
you would like to emulate.
6. The enemy often waits to
strike us or resists us until we are at our deepest furthest darkest loneliest
weakest most vulnerable most insecure place (the middle of the lake, the
deepest part, the middle of the night) When have you felt any of these
emotions?
7. When you are on an
assignment you will often encounter storms of resistance. Jesus will come to
you in a supernatural way, teach you how to rest in God's promises then take
authority or give you a word like Paul that this is going to get messy but I
will deliver you and the world will recognize God's hand on you when the storm
is over. Which of these scenarios have you experienced in your life?
8. The thing that was supposed
to be giving their boat momentum (the wind) and carrying them to the other side
(the waves) was challenging, opposing & threatening them. Can you relate?
Explain.
9. Peter appeared to be
walking on water but he was really walking on a command from Jesus because he
made a request of Jesus. How often do you think we make requests of the Lord
without waiting for His command?
