ICEBREAKER:  If you could ask God for one thing or one question what would it be today?

 

DEFINITIONS: Hidden: (Greek) Krytpo; To Conceal, kept secret, something obvious that has escaped being noticed.

                     Manna: (Hebrew word) Bread from heaven, the food of angels and the blessed. Literally meaning “What is it?”

STUDY GROUP QUESTIONS:

1.    James 4:2 says, you have not because you ask not.  What are some of the reasons we fail to ask God for things or answers?

2.    John 14:13, 14 says, we are to ask in his name. What does that mean to you?

3.    According to John 15:7, what must we do first before we ask? Name a type of distraction that tries to keep us from doing that?

4.    According to John 15:16, what does bearing fruit have to do with asking God for something? Name some type of fruit that you are bearing in your life right now?

5.    1 John 3:22, tells us why we receive. Name a something that would be pleasing.

6.    James 5:5-8 says, if any man lack wisdom let him ask of God who gives liberally and upbraideth not. What do you need wisdom for right now?
