STUDY GROUP QUESTIONS:

1. In our story King Jehoash waited for Elisha to put his hands on his hands when he picked up the bow and arrow but when he struck the ground with the arrow only three times he failed to wait for the prophet to put his hands on his hands and so he did not struck the ground enough, which represented how many victories God would have given him. Name a time in your life, when you wish you would have waited for instructions or advise.

2. Name one thing you wish you would have done differently.

3. The Bible says that King Jehoash did evil in his sight. Why do we so often think that God doesn’t notice our sin? Or why is it that we don’t seem to care?

4. God used Elisha’s gift to prophesy because he had been such a servant to his mentor Elijah. Name a coach, teacher or mentor in your life that God has called your to serve to activate your gifts.

5. Elisha’s gift became credible because of his service to Elijah and to the king’s of Israel. Who does God want to use your life story and gifts to make his Word credible in their eyes?

6. It seems the God’s people have very little influence in society any more. What will it take to get back the respect we as Christians once had?

7. How could you change the atmosphere in your home, or in your community or on your job, or in your relationships?
