STUDY GROUP QUESTIONS:

1.    Read Ruth Chapters 1-4 out loud.  Why do you think Orpah kissed & Ruth clung to Naomi?

2.    Would you ever leave everything else behind to go with your mothers-in-law or fathers-in-law?

3.    Has your sense of loyalty ever taken you outside of your comfort zone?

4.    Why do you believe so many in-law relationships are strained?

5.    Boaz left grain behind for those in need.  In what area of your life is there excess that you could use to bless others?

6.    Ruth’s relationship with Naomi has been likened to our relationship with Jesus.  What is your relationship with Jesus like, is it a kiss or are you clinging to him?

7.    Clear purpose builds moral, reduces frustration, defines what you’re doing and not doing, brings focus and attracts provision.  What clear purpose did Ruth have? What clear purpose did Boaz have?

8.    Have you ever had such a clear purpose that you were willing to sacrifice for it? 

9.    Boaz is the kinsmen redeemer; Christ is our kinsmen redeemer.  Due to Ruth’s kindness, the generational curse was broken.  What act of random kindness has let to how your reaping blessing you never dreamed you’d receive?
