STUDY GROUP QUESTION

1.    Knowing God requires us to trust Him with things we don’t know or understand.  Walking in the knowledge of God refers to knowing God personally not just knowing about him. As with any relationship, if you don’t know God, when negative or challenging things happen in life you may question His love for you.  Describe a time or an event in your life when you wondered why God allowed it to happen?

2.    How would we live our lives if we knew how to walk in the knowledge of God’s plans and purposes for our lives?

a.    We would not get distracted by the oppositions, trials & delays of life

b.   We would stay focused on developing our gifts & talents

c.    We would not waste our time & resources

d.   We would not allow fear to paralyze us

e.    We would see the “Big Picture” and not sweat the little stuff

f.     _________________________________________________

3.    Walking in the knowledge of the scripture is the realization that God’s Word is God in seed form.  In other words, if you want to know how God feels or what He thinks about something read His Word.  Exodus 20:1-17, lists the 10 commandments in the scripture, which one do you think is being broken most in America today?

4.    Often wisdom is obtained in life through the things we have learned through trial and error or mistake. Walking in the knowledge of Life is called the school of hard knocks.  Name one thing that life has taught you. (For example, a penny saved is a penny earned…)

5.    Grasping a knowledge of people has to do with learning how to work or deal with people.  Name one thing that people do that drives you crazy.

6.    Shakespeare said, “To thine own self be true.” Embracing the knowledge of self deals with allowing God to reveal the truth about you to you.  What would you say is your greatest strength and your greatest weakness?

7.    Somebody said that knowledge is power.  Loving practical knowledge means that we have to accept that there are things we still need to learn. Name one thing you would like to learn or study if you ever got the chance.

8.    In what area of your life right now do you most need the wisdom of God?
