2.
The
2nd dimension of yada intimacy is to know
something technically or how something or someone works. Look up Exodus 33:13. It talks about God’s ways. Name one of the
ways God deals with you when he wants to speak to you.
3.
The
3rd dimension of yada intimacy is to know
God by personal experience. Habakkuk 2:14 speaks of the knowledge (yada) of the glory of the Lord covering the earth. What is the difference between knowing about
someone and knowing him/her? Why do you
think that America knows about God but doesn’t really know Him anymore or do you
think that is true?
4.
The
4th dimension of yada intimacy is to have
a face to face encounter. What can you
tell about a person when you have a face to face encounter that you can’t tell
from email or even a phone conversation?
5.
The
5th dimension of yada intimacy is sexual
intimacy. You must be completely vulnerable and completely honest for this to
be genuine intimacy. This is the word that is used when the Bible says that
Adam knew
Eve. Adam made a deposit in Eve. When we have spiritual intimacy with God, He
often deposits a dream or idea of greatness in us. What is the greatest dream
or encouraging word that God has placed in you?
6.
Read
Psalm 139. Describe at least 5 things
that God intimately knows about us from reading that chapter.
7.
What
keeps people from being completely open, honest and vulnerable with God?
