STUDY GROUP QUESTIONS:

1.    Psalm 24:6 says, “this is the generation of them that seek Him that seek thy face.”  How is your generation different from the one before yours and the one after yours? (Especially regarding God, country, family, work, styles and money.)

 

2.    Psalm 27:4 says, “One [thing] have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple.” What do you think is the one thing that men seek, women seek, teenagers seek and children seek?

A.   The best sports car, hunting rifle, and woman who can cook

B.   The best deal at the mall, and the richest man

3.    Psalm 27:8 says, “When you said, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek.”  What do you think is the expression on God’s face when He looks at our country right now, His Church right now and when He looks at you?

4.    Psalm 34:10 says, “The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good [thing].”  Identify one thing that you most need right now.

5.    Psalm 40:16 says, “Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: let such as love thy salvation say continually, The LORD be magnified.” That means that seekers of God always see God bigger that their situation. What is the hardest area of your life right now to be glad about?

 

6.    Psalm 63:10 says, “O God, thou [art] my God; early will I seek thee.”  That means early in the morning, long before the conflict or the problem.  Why is it important to seek God early in the morning?

 

7.    Psalm 105:4 says, “Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore.”  The Bible also says in the presence of the lord is fullness of joy and we know the joy of the Lord is our strength.  In other words Christians become weak because we lose our joy.  And we lose our joy because we don’t spend time in God’s presence.  What keeps us from spending time in God’s presence?
