ICEBREAKER:  What was your favorite game to play when you were a kid? (Card game, board game, video game, sports, outside group game,…)

STUDY GROUP QUESTIONS:

1.   Describe one quality of sheep.

2.    Describe one quality of a war horse.

3.    When a crisis arises in your life or your community what is your usual immediate response?

a.    Call for help

b.   Run like a crazy man

4.    War horses are born and trained for the battle.  I guess you could say they are bred, fed and led for battle.  They actually run toward the fight, not from it.  What conflict in your life do you feel like running from but know God has called you to stand and fight?

5.    War horses are not just a carrier of weapons but are actually a weapon themselves.  War horses are trained to use their mouth to bite their enemy.  We bite our spiritual enemy with our words. What words would do you think God wants you to say to fight your enemy the devil?

6.    Another way a war horse is used as a weapon, is by kicking or stamping its enemy or using its hind legs to break down walls or obstructions.  What walls are we called to bust down?

7.    War horses know the sound of the trumpet commissioning them to action.  What is God’s trumpet calling you to do?

a.    The call to pray & worship

b.   The call to make money for the Kingdom of God

8.    A war horse is one of its rider’s greatest assets.  The rider often affirms the war horse after the battle.  If you could hear one word of affirmation from anyone what would it be and who would say it? (Besides God saying “Well done good and faithful servant.”)
