ICEBREAKER:  What is your favorite time of year and why?

OUTLINE:  4 Principles of the Rescue

1.      Never regularly do for someone what they can do for themselves without an even trade.

2.      Never do alone what must be done as a team.

3.      You must realize your limitations in order to reach out to the one without any limitations.

4.      Out of the box problems require out of the box solutions.

TEXT:  Mark 2:1-12, Romans 11:29

STUDY GROUP QUESTIONS:

1.      Name someone that you think exhibits a lot of charisma.

2.      The man in our story was a paralytic.  How would your life be different if you were unable to walk or lift yourself?  What would you miss most?

3.      This man had four crazy friends that carried him to Jesus and even broke through somebody’s roof to get him there.  Identify a few of your wildest friends and tell us a story that proves how crazy they really are.

4.      The word charisma means an extraordinary grace gift or strength given for the purpose of helping or delivering someone else.  How are you gifted to help others in your life or community?

5.      What are some of the things we do for others in our life that they should be doing for themselves?

6.      Name some things that we should be doing as a team?

7.      If you don’t know your strengths and weaknesses you cannot really know what your limitations are.  When we don’t know our limitations we often let people manipulate us and take advantage of us.  What would you say is your greatest strength and your greatest weakness?
