ICEBREAKER:  What’s the worst fight you ever been in or seen?  You can even describe one you have seen on TV or the movies.

 

OUTLINE:  How to live above the fray!

1.       Don’t allow people to un-elect you

2.       Don’t allow things to misdirect you

3.       Don’t allow fear to disconnect you

 

DEFINITIONS:

  1. Be Strong:  (Hebrew) Chazaq … To hold fast, To bind to, To gird, To tie, To join, To connect
  2. Be Courageous: (Hebrew) Amats… To be brave, To fortify,

To increase, To restore, To repair

  1. Fear: To cause to tremble
  2. Dismay: To Break to pieces, to shatter
  3. Fray: The circumstances, the fight, dispute, struggle

(latin) To frighten away, scare

 

STUDY GROUP QUESTIONS:

1.  Joshua 1:6 says to, “Be strong and of a good courage.”   Why does this verse say that Joshua will need strength & courage?

2.  What drives you crazy most about people?
